Machu Picchu Post

A very fine 3D Animation from three students at the 3D school Supinfocom Arles in France, in advanced computer graphics classes: Clement Crocq, Margaux Durand-Rival and Nicolas Novali.

I had my doubts at the beginning of the movie, because the pictures didn’t reflect my memories of Peru, but after the first minute the good storyboard and beautiful pictures got me into the story. I like especially the that the airplane is not going smooth as in so many animations, but is shaking and making rattling sounds. Have a look at the nice making-of story and pre-prodution pictures at cgsociety.org.

‘Machu Picchu Post was made with 3ds Max 2008, rendered in full base Scanline render except for the titan’s jewels which had some V-Ray passes, and composited with Adobe After Effects.’
